This week at CR Performance Engineering we have a set of F-150 2.7L (2015+) EcoBoost turbochargers torn down and being scanned on our Faro Arm CMM.

We are looking forward to development of a performance Billet Wheel Upgrade and we are also looking into other possible performance products. Do you have a 2.7L EcoBoost? Let us know if your interested in a turbocharger upgrade!

    Hello! I have a 2015 2.7TT.
I’d love to get as much power out of it as I safely can one day. What are you charging for the turbo charger upgrade?

    • CRP Engineering says:

      Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our F150 2.7L Turbo Development.

We are currently working on a OEM Profile billet compressor wheel upgrade for the 2.7L, similar to as seen in our already released F150 3.5L products.

Our next stage will be a oversize compressor side upgrade for the 2.7L but that project is a little further down the road.
We are also looking into producing a set of Larger A/R ratio turbine housings if there is a demand and larger production numbers of the 2.7L in the future.

      Thank you.

      Best Regards,
      Andrew C

Hi I have a highly modified 2.7l f150 and I want more power out of this truck. I have modified literally everything but I’m just missing larger turbos and a dyno tune. Are you folks only engineering billet wheels or a full turbo set? Also is their any mods you have up for the 2.7l I could check out or that are under development?

    • CRP Engineering says:

      Hello Moustapha,

Thank you for your comment, and interest in 2.7L F150 EcoBoost turbocharger upgrades.

We will be releasing a upgrade performance billet compressor wheel for OEM housings next month for the 2.7L F150 EcoBoost turbochargers.
We also have a upgrade design for the 2.7L F150 turbochargers in development, but we need to see demand and requests such as yours to proceed into production.

      Thank you!

Extremely interested in this upgrade i have a 2015 2.7 with a few bolt on upgrades but a turbo upgrade would be amazing

  4. Jamel says:

There are many people interested in upgrading the turbo. Wonder how much power can be made.💪💪

  5. Mike says:

Hell yes I would be. I have a 2016 f150 2.7 with a tune and some upgrades. It’s pretty good now but more power would be awesome for the top end pull. If you guys can do that I would 100% buy this

  6. CRP Engineering says:

This might be a late response. But hell yes I want an upgraded turbo for my 2015 Ford F150 2.7L. I’ve been in search for an upgrade for a long time now. Please keep me updated

  8. Ted Hill says:

CRP thanks for making the stealthy turbo upgrades that you do. Only thing that sucks with upgrading the turbos on any EB powered vehicle is not not the lack of air flow via the turbos, but rather the fueling that is the issue. I just sold my 2011 Ford Flex Titanium awd EB with everything minus aux fueling via 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th port injection. Car made 472awhp, & 529awtq. Loved that car, and love my completely stock 2017 F-150 2.7 EB, but fueling will 100% be the main power issues until someone figures out a none expensive fueling upgrade rather that the 4,000.00 port injection aux fueling that requires ProEFI to run it, or a 2,000.00 DI pump upgrade. Also until someone can fix the Low RPM High torque detonation issue we are all doomed to failure. I believe the 2nd Gen 3.5 has it figured all out we shall see.

Really interested in the 2.7 turbo upgrade! Its sad that the 2.7 doesn’t more aftermarket support.

  11. Jake says:

How much boost does your turbo upgrade make compared to stock set up? I am interested in either upgrading or having my brother (diesel mechanic) and buddy’s (own a tune shop) fabricate a way to put bigger turbos in.

    • CRP Engineering says:

Hello Jake, thank you for your interest in our products.

Our Current Performance turbo offerings for the 2.7L and in general increase overall efficiency substantially in the Mid to Top end. The HP numbers offered are with minimal Boost increase of low to mid single digit PSI in most applications for Gasoline, however as the Cold Air Charge is now at a far lower temperature due to the efficiency increase, therefore denser air you get the increased HP and Torque. The additional gain is also engine back pressure to generate the same air charge is reduced.
For a 2.7L with a 93 tune, the install of our stage 3 turbocharger set adds 118 RWHP & 67 Ft Lbs and is completely drop in / bolt on as its modified stock turbocharger housings.
For more details please talk with one of our tuning partners for specific numbers such as 5 Star Tuning & Brew City Boost.
      Thank you.

      Best regards,
